Priority Technologies, Inc. offers Transition Program for WebSphere Studio Application Developer |
|||||
| OMAHA, Nebraska To help current users of VisualAge for Java and WebSphere Studio upgrade to WebSphere Studio Application Developer, Priority Technologies, Inc. (PTI) offers a WSAD transition program. IBM's WSAD is the industry's first tool to integrate Java and Web development tools in a single environment. WSAD is replacing VisualAge for Java and WebSphere Studio. WSAD is for Java and J2EE application developers who require integrated Web, JSP, XML, and Web services support. PTI's WSAD Transition Program is targeted to jump-start the process of installing and integrating WSAD with client's systems. Over a three-week period, the transition program provides consulting, J2EE analysis, training, mentoring, and transition work. "A class doesn't give you the hands-on, customized approach that a transitional program does," PTI President Tod Pryor said. "Our transitional program is tailored to help developers capitalize on WSAD's new functionality while continuing on the path they are already on." PTI started developing customizable course modules for the WSAD transitional program in August 2001. PTI taught a WSAD course for the first time December 10-14 as part of a tailored software development package. "PTI empowers clients with e-Business solutions through a holistic combination of software training, mentoring, consulting, and development," Pryor said. For more information about PTI's WSAD Transition Program and other WSAD services, please see www.prioritytech.com/promotions/wsad.jsp. |

IBM has donated the platform code, approximately a $40M development effort, to the open source community to encourage a whole new way of building tools for the Internet. New tools can now just plug into this common base in much the same way as plugins for a web server. IBM has been working with many of the major tooling vendors to provide a number of additional products that will plug into the WSAD platform. |
