Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
The skills developed in this course are prerequisite to the Java Programming and Meteor Technologies courses. The Meteor system has been developed using the latest in object-oriented technologies. This course teaches your IT staff how to gather requirements and model a viable system architecture. See course outline.

Java Programming
Proficiency with Java programming concepts and Java’s object-oriented features is required prior to learning Meteor Technologies. PTI offers beginning through advanced Java programming courses to prepare your developers for Web Services. See course outline.

XML and Java
This course illustrates how XML and Java work together to achieve many goals. Java will be used to parse XML sequentially (SAX) and in a hierarchy format (DOM). JAXP will then be used to determine the parsing method. The unit uses Java heavily and may be tailored to use the JDK, VisualAge for JAVA, or Visual Café. This course includes many examples and exercises to strongly illustrate how to use XML and Java together. See course outline.

Web Services and Meteor Architecture
This course introduces the technologies that Meteor is based on. It also provides an overview of how the Meteor system was constructed using these technologies. Learn to use Web Services and discover the needs and considerations for the installation of Web Services. Your team will also be prepared to integrate Meteor with your system. School Integrator Workshop
This workshop will prepare your agency professionals to install Meteor at your partner schools, and to train your Financial Aid Professionals how to use Meteor.
