Unit: Managing Change

Unit Identifier: OO3002

Unit Overview:

This unit provides an understanding of what change is and how change can affect the performance of both people and organizations. The unit looks at change as a process itself, identifying those aspects of the change process that can be successfully managed. The core of the unit focuses on developing and implementing a change management plan designed to facilitate successful change in the organization. The student is given practical experience in developing a change management plan for the client organization. The reengineering of business processes and the introduction of new technology each represent major changes to the organization. Whether that change is accepted or resisted by management and staff can have a critical impact on its success.
